Shenton Avenue Medical Centre was founded by three of the most devoted family doctors in Perth’s northern suburbs: Dr Sam Hanna (MBBCH, AMC, FRACGP), Dr Julius Tan (MBBS, MAFP, FRACGP) and Dr Nash Qamar.
All 3 doctors have more than 2 decades of medical experience and they work together to provide and operate a complete and holistic medical clinic. It is our experience that ensures patients are treated with the highest level of care.
A doctor of 24 years, Dr Sam Hanna has spent more than a decade working in the Joondalup area after a life that has taken him several times around the world. Originally from Egypt, Dr Hanna is fully certified to practice medicine both in Australia and the USA.

Dr Danielle Vlahov
Since completing medical school at the University Notre Dame in Fremantle in 2014, Dr Vlahov have since completed terms in hospital including Sir Charles Gairdner, Joondalup, Osborne Park and Hollywood, and she has worked in a variety of fields including emergency, intensive care, Coronary care, general medicine, surgery and geriatrics. More Recently Dr Vlahov has furthered her studies by completing her basic DRANZCOG through King Edward Memorial Hospital and spending six months working at Princess Margaret Hospital. She has also completed a certificate in Sexual and Reproduction Health, Paediatrics, Geriatrics and adolescent and adult mental health.
She believes in a holistic approached to managing patients’ needs with a focus on ensuring that all aspects of their health are attended to. She does this by paying special attention to each patient ensuring that their needs are met and approaching their care in an all-encompassing and thorough manner.
Outside of the practice Dr Vlahov enjoys running along Perth’s pristine coastline. She likes to maintain an active lifestyle which helps connect her with the community and her family.

Tom Edwards - Physiotherapist
Tom is a valuable asset to the Move Forward team as the Managing partner of our Butler, Gateway, Shenton Ave and Kinross Clinics. After spending some years providing physiotherapy services in the local community, he is elated to continue to be a presence in our newest clinics in the northern suburbs. He has a keen interest in an array of musculoskeletal conditions with a particular interest in the ‘everyday’ injury, back and neck pain that keeps us from our hobbies and work.
He loves working with you to get you back to what you love quickly, combining manual therapy and dry needling with exercise rehabilitative strategies. His interest in sports has led him to work with the Wanneroo amateur Football, Rugby and Soccer teams. His sporting interests outside of work include Rugby, Martial arts, Soccer and Golf. On top of being a partner, Tom is also the Client Relationship Officer for Move Forward Physiotherapy making sure we deliver the highest quality service possible to all of our valued patient.
